Saddam Haftar Meets Putin in Moscow, Affirms Deep Russia Ties
MOSCOW — Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar, met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Wednesday, conveying greetings from Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and stressing Libya’s strong ties with Russia.
Putin praised the Libyan National Army’s role in maintaining security and stability, and voiced support for efforts to unify Libya’s institutions, strengthen stability and preserve the country’s territorial integrity.
