Al-Kufra Mayor Meets Red Cross to Boost Health and Water Services
The Mayor of Al-Kufra, Mohammed Boumriz, sat down with a team from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to talk about improving basic services in the city.
The two sides discussed working together on health care and drinking water, two areas where residents need better services. The Municipal Council has made it a policy to benefit from the programs that international organizations offer.
Boumriz thanked the Red Cross for its cooperation so far. He said the Council is ready to work with any organization, as long as it goes through official channels, so that all efforts stay organized and focused on serving the people of Al-Kufra.
The ICRC team said they are ready to keep supporting the municipality and will also work more closely with the Libyan Red Crescent on shared issues.
