Al-Jalaa Hospital Nears Reopening as Work Enters Final Stages

BENGHAZI — Al-Jalaa Hospital for Surgery and Accidents is nearing full operation, with renovation work now in its final stages.

The project is being carried out by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, a key development body under the Benghazi-based government, as part of a broader effort to strengthen the health sector and raise the standard of medical care in Benghazi.

The hospital’s emergency department has been fully renovated and equipped with new systems and modern medical equipment. Workers have also installed medical gas networks and new air conditioning and ventilation systems, built to meet strict technical and health standards.

Maintenance of the central air station has been completed, the electrical station has been upgraded, and final work on the administration building is underway. Crews have landscaped the hospital grounds and parking areas, while work continues on the section behind the building.
