Benghazi University Meets British Officials to Expand Cooperation


The Dean of Benghazi University, Prof. Ezz El-Din Al-Darsi, received the British Deputy Ambassador to Libya, Ben Rawlings, and the Director of the British Council in Libya, Mohamed Zahed.

The two sides discussed expanding cooperation between the university and the British Council in education, research partnerships, training programs, and capacity building.

A wider meeting was then held with the university’s vice presidents. Talks focused on using British Council funding through the Cultural Heritage Protection Fund to support projects that protect Libyan cultural heritage, along with joint work in scientific research and higher education development.

Both sides agreed to keep coordinating and to turn these plans into real programs that support the university’s goals and grow its international partnerships.
