Central Bank Governor Joins National Dialogue on Housing Finance

TRIPOLI – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, took part on Monday in a national dialogue on the banking sector’s role in reviving housing and urban development projects, organized by the Ministry of Housing and Construction.

Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, several ministers, and representatives of banks, financial institutions, and investors attended the event.

The talks focused on improving the real estate financing system, solving problems in the housing sector, and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors.

Issa said the Central Bank sees real estate financing as a key driver of economic growth, as it revives construction, creates jobs, and improves people’s quality of life. He added that success requires cooperation between lawmakers, government bodies, banks, and the private sector.
